| The Habersham Hacienda |
I spent the better part of Labor Day weekend 70 miles north of Atlanta; enjoying the sights, sounds, and cuisine of Georgia's newest get-away,
The Habersham Hacienda. What was once a large residential estate, complete with a 70,000 gallon pool, tennis courts, maid's quarters, etc., has been transformed by owner Michel Niesen into a rustic and sustainable mini-farm - complete with free range chickens, vegetable gardens, and a live-in chef.

The decor, ambiance, and cuisine is evidence of a clever and well traveled owner. The property is riddled with the romantic details and charming surprises that Michele Niesen is known for.

As I have said
before, this place is magic. It is the perfect North Georgia get-away. No matter the occasion; be it a wedding, a retreat, or a party - the Hacienda is a breath of fresh air. So, take a deep breath and
enjoy.
