iPhonetography

If we're friends on Facebook, you probably are aware of my obsession with Instagram.

I may not be a consistent tweeter or status updater, but I can Instagram with the best of them. Apparently, I have no shame when it comes to sharing photos online.

Below is a montage of my recent adventures in iPhonetography - - for those who are too hip for Facebook. (Hi, Daddy!)

I'm not certain that anyone really cares to bare witness to the ordinary details of my life, but it sure does make procrastination feel a little more productive - and a lot more fun.

Happy Wednesday, everyone.

Oh-So-Sparkly

I am usually not one for glitter; however, I designed an invitation suite for a bridal shower last week - - and I think I may be in love.

These invitations are probably still sitting at the post office, but I can't help myself - - here is a sneak peek.

I guess a little sparkle never hurt anyone.

Happy Sunday,

Jeff Climbed a Tree

In case you are curious about how this adventure ended -- I thought I'd let you know that Jeff successfully retrieved his model rocket by climbing a neighbor's tree with a pair of lawn shears.

I was none too pleased about the shears, but alas - the rocket lives to soar another day.

Up, Up, and...

Today, I witnessed a rocket launch.

A few hours ago, in the middle of an empty soccer field, Jeff launched his model seven hundred and fifty feet into the air. Liking to blow things up is one of Jeff's less nerdy traits.

The last two months have been quite the adjustment, so it was nice to indulge in a few hours of recreation. Of course, Jeff now has to go knock on a stranger's door and explain why he needs to climb the tree in their front yard, which won't be awkward at all ... "Hi, I'm a grown man and I need to retrieve my model rocket from your pine tree."

While I was completely terrified by the speed and noise that accompanied the launch of this rocket, I managed to capture one decent shot.

Here's to spending Sunday afternoons with people who make you smile.

First Birthday

Meet my nephew, Joshua. Pretty darn adorable, huh?

This week, I had the privilege of creating his birthday party invitations. He turns one year old later this month and the theme is baseball.

My sister wanted the invitations to be actual tickets and for the barcode to reflect the date and time of Joshua's birth. So, voila!

In keeping with the baseball theme, each ticket was then enclosed in a "concession stand bag" and sealed with red, metal brad.

The invitations were hand addressed and mailed off in gray envelopes - lined in black.

Many thanks go to my sister, Sandi, for trusting me. You know it's going to be fun when someone says, just let your creative juices flow.

Happy birthday to my youngest nephew; all my love!

Wait, what is that you say? You want more of that cute little face?

Here's one more for the road.

He's going to be a lady killer, I just know it.
